How to choose the good size dog house for your dog ?

Use the "Recommended Breed" filter

On our site you can filter the dog houses according to your dog's breed using the product filter of the "Recommended Breed" field. If you do not find your dog's breed you can filter according to a breed of similar size.

In addition, on the product page we mentioned the dog's breeds for which the dog houses are recommended.

We recommend this method:

• to have a quick orientation on the required size
• when the dog cannot be measured. For example when it is still a puppy and when you do not have information about the size of its parents

Compare the dimensions of the dog with the dimensions of the dog house

Measure the length of the dog without a tail (area "L" in the picture) and the height from the legs to the back/shoulders without a head (area "H" in the picture). If the dog is still a puppy try to find out the sizes of its parents

The length of the dog house should be about 10% larger than the size of "L". The height of the cage should be about 20% more than the size of "H"

Measure the occupied surface when the dog is lying down or sleeping. Watch the dog when sleeping on a tiled or square paving surface so that you can quickly calculate the occupied area according to the "occupied squares". The floor of the dog house should be about 10% larger than that space.

Compare these dimensions with the internal dimensions of the dog house, quotas that you can find on the page of each product in the pictures area and/or in the documents area.

If you are at the limit with a size we recommend that you to opt for a larger dog house size. Replacing a dog house and changing it with a larger size is possible but the transport costs are not borne by us. This way you get to pay three times the transport:

• Delivery of the first dog house
• Return of the received dog house
• Delivery of the second larger dog house

In most cases, it is cheaper to order a larger size the first time than to return it and receive a second one.
